Athenaby Ninidu

Scraps©2010-2015 Ninidu
Athena was the goddess of wisdom and protector of the arts.

According to the myth she was born by Zeus' head from where she jumped grown up and fully armed.
She was also the protector of the warriors who where heroes at battle-as opposite to her brother Aris who liked violence alone.

She was the protector of the city of Athens who was named after her and whose citizents built the Parthenon to worship her.

I dressed her in green because her sacred plant was the olive tree. I also gave her blue eyes because Homer describes her so.

I'm surprised I haven't seen this before! She's beautifully stoic and like a dominant leader! So pretty! You've made all of my favorite, three A goddesses! Athena, Aphrodite (or Afrodite...seems like a black American woman from the 1970's with an afro hairstyle spelled that way, though ), and Artemis, my favorite, favorite!

McGonagall was perfectly named after her!

I looked it up to! I just remember I read a version of the odessey in elementary school, and one of the books was called the gray eyed godess. Homer needs to clarify! Of course, he was blind, so he probably couldn't tell.

Excellent ! One of my favourite goddess. I find the gorgon on the shield funny too...
It's good to see someone interested in mythology, but I guess it's part of your hystory. Anyway, this is cool.

I just discovered you and I really like your style. Keep up the good work !

The gorgon is reaally poorly drawn..Anyway, I wanted it there because it was said that Pereus gave it to the goddess as a gift and she put it on her shield
